![]() With the start of the new school year I haven't had time to post much. This year has been extremely hectic as we are moving into providing GAFE accounts for all of our students 2-12. As soon as I get everyone into their accounts life should be a little easier. This weekend has been nice as the holiday has given me a chance to catch my breath. I spent some time browsing the net for ideas. I stumbled upon a kindergarten teacher's site that had a template for Connect Four created with Google Draw. What she did was merely play with a class from a different state in order to show her students the power of the internet. I would like to suggest something with a little more substance. You could create content based questions and the students would have to answer the question correctly before moving a piece into play. It would really be cool to partner up with a class in a different school. In fact, let your students create the questions that will be asked of the other class. This would make a wonderfully engaging review task!

Melanie LewisHi, my name is Melanie Lewis. I am an Instructional Technology Resource Teacher for Amherst County Public Schools, located in the beautiful state of Virginia. I LOVE my job! I get to work on my hobby, anything that has to do with computers. I get to work with teachers and students, and I am definitely a people person. Plus, I DO NOT have to give grades. Wonderful, huh? Let me know how I can help you better integrate technology into your classroom. Archives
