This link provides free file folder games as well as game templates ready to download and customize by adding your own text. You can print them out in color or in black & white. Another twist if you don’t want to spend the time cutting and gluing is to turn the games into Smartboard documents. You would need to use the snipping tool found in Windows 7 to “cut” each piece of the template apart separately. Then you can copy and paste this into Smart Notebook and use you transparent tool to “white out” any border around the image. Your ITRT could help you do this. I have also included a short video to demonstrate how to turn one of these templates into a Notebook document. These games would be great ways to teach those beginning click and drag skills that will be needed later to ace the TEI items. http://filefolderfun.com/FileFolderTemplates.html

Melanie LewisHi, my name is Melanie Lewis. I am an Instructional Technology Resource Teacher for Amherst County Public Schools, located in the beautiful state of Virginia. I LOVE my job! I get to work on my hobby, anything that has to do with computers. I get to work with teachers and students, and I am definitely a people person. Plus, I DO NOT have to give grades. Wonderful, huh? Let me know how I can help you better integrate technology into your classroom. Archives
