Today I witnessed another great middle school lesson. I didn't get to help plan this one but was invited in to participate. I didn't have to do much as the students and the student teacher had everything under control.
The students were given a set of questions based on readiness with science concepts they did not understand. The questions had been typed into a QR code generator and printed off in various colors. The QR codes were displayed around the room. Students moved around the room, scanning the QR code and answering questions. Some of the students pulled out their textbook to help assist with an answer while others asked their teacher or student teacher for guidance. Charts and other tools were also made available. Amazing lesson and fully engaged students equals a wonderful learning experience.
_Hi, my name is Melanie Lewis. I am an Instructional Technology Resource Teacher for Amherst County Public Schools,
located in the beautiful state of Virginia. I LOVE my job! I get to
work on my hobby, anything that has to do with computers. I get to work
with teachers and students, and I am definitely a people person. Plus,
I DO NOT have to give grades. Wonderful, huh? Let me know how I can help you better integrate technology into your classroom.
