I haven't gotten to post much this year. I was hoping that things would settle down after we got all the students started with their GAFE. The issue is that we still haven't gotten all the students in. This is partly due to the schedule I work in each building and partly because we are still getting new students in. I suppose it will settle down soon. In one of my schools I am still in the process of decorating the room. There is not a lot of things out there for the computer lab so I am having to make my own decorations. One of the displays I want up are the 8 thinking maps. We adopted Thinking Maps as a tool last year. Anyway, like all teachers, I want my displays to be cute and functional. So I just created these thinking maps using the Minecraft theme. I put them heren to share. ![]()

Melanie LewisHi, my name is Melanie Lewis. I am an Instructional Technology Resource Teacher for Amherst County Public Schools, located in the beautiful state of Virginia. I LOVE my job! I get to work on my hobby, anything that has to do with computers. I get to work with teachers and students, and I am definitely a people person. Plus, I DO NOT have to give grades. Wonderful, huh? Let me know how I can help you better integrate technology into your classroom. Archives
